and its not a company shop..its a one guy or woman/owner shop, if you know what i mean !

If you feel that they are hiding something would it not be simpler just to inform the tax office, they have a telephone line that you can be anonymous, I didn't get what you mean about the woman/owner mind you I can be a bit slow at times

Hi

I have a number of web sites I use for different things. i.e. a darts website for our league, a band site, etc. I always opt out as I don't want unsolicited mail from a bot who will just trawl this type of site for saleable information. Those people who visit my sites can get my contact details if needed from there as a general rule.

as stated earlier in this thread....

that fine if you are a NON TRADING INDIVIDUAL and NOT selling anything for profit ect.

but if you ARE a business "legally" trading, then your whois details SHOULD be up there...if you got bugger all to hide that is
Nominet dont like this sort of thing....trust me - i got some right choice emails from them the other day -

i ended up buying another 4 domain names that were similar to mine...i wanted to list registrant as my original trading name, and NOT my own personal name...im wanted to do this for all 4 extra domians i had purchased.

got some nice emails back from nominet stating i could not do this as i am a sole trader and will be using domains for profit/business ect...

THEY changed the domains BACK to registrant name under my own personal name...
i dont mind TBH....just though i could registar them all under my first domain.business name .

but i aint got bugger all to hide so... hi ho.....

I have never knowenly had spam from a bot that got email addy off whois data base. In fact 99.9% of all spam i get comes through private email accounts not associated with my entries on the whois data base.
