I have to agree what's been mentioned regarding a business facebook page that you may use as a supplier.

I have a few suppliers that I use on a regular basis, all have facebook pages and all post offers (facebook only) to their pages that I don't see as I haven't liked their pages.

I haven't done this not because I "don't like" them just to be clear, but because I have customers that are on my facebook 'friends list' and as these suppliers have open prices I don't wish for anyone to connect the dots (if you know what I mean).

Yes - it's the finished product that sells, not the blank item but I have had members of my own family ask how I can sell an item for x amount when it only costs y amount - still, I never talk to my Father anymore now anyway (lol).

As an example, Ralawise have a facebook page and I have (personally) liked their page as I know you require an account to see prices. Others I purchase from, but miss out on facebook deals as I don't see them (by choice).

The only other way is to create another personal account to like the business page, which is against facebook policy and 'could' result in all your accounts being closed (including any business pages).

Or create a Facebook business page, and move your customers to Liking your business instead of being your friend

Good idea - unless you already do it

90% of customers use our business page and know us as a business, not a friend (as such) - the other 10% are facebook friends before the business page was set up.

As someone who has little experience of this site I can see there are lots of things many "newbies" might not be aware of. Like this "thing" with BMS. The layout of forums powered by software like vBulletin does make it more difficult to find things than say, a membership website powered by Wishlist or Membergate. I saw something about a discount for members from Listawood where mugs were 77 pence. I just ordered 36 from them as a test. Also, I can see the vast amount of experience from members who are very generous with their knowledge and I would like to see more "articles" with details of preferred suppliers and "tricks of the trade". But hey, what I am finding here is a bunch of people who are very open and honest and willing to share. It just takes a bit of searching around. And I can't post a question until I have 10 posts. So in the meantime I just rant away!!!

I have 7 facebook accounts.....and only my friends join my personal one....it's a pain sometimes when I forget who I'm signed in as......but needs must!!

I am agree with above posts. Social media is very easy and interesting way to advertise your business/products. Facebook is very common. I like it that i can find detail about product/brand etc.
