Hi John, The lines are running vertically on the paper. I also suspect it's either wheel or the pointed base of the printer. I've tried cleaning the base & wheels with cleaning liquid but no use. I have two types of paper, one thinner 100 gsm and other thicker 120 gsm.

The issue is, lines are consistent & more visible on phone covers after sublimation done using thinner 100 gsm paper. However, sometimes faint lines show up when sublimated with the thicker paper and other times they don't show up. But end result quality/colors is much better with thinner paper so I'm more keen for printing with thinner paper.

Whilst we are on lines......

This printer sits on the shelf these days and gets fired up probably once a month and run for a day or so then goes back on the shelf. Prior to being the reserve printer it was rather active!

These lines appear, not always, but quite regularly. The lines are in the direction of the print head travel. Has a nozzle died?

Hmmmmm
The nozzle check is / was perfect, but decided to another head clean as there is nothing to loose.....it appears fine at the moment. I shall report back if it goes "Tits up" again.

JMugs,
Good that your problem is resolved by nozzle check, at least for the time being. However, I've tried nozzle check, cleaning and power cleaning but still the problem remains. Besides, I don't see any lines on printed paper but only after the design has been sublimated on phone cover.

Your marks are in the direction of the paper feed, so this would imply either wheels (already mentioned), paper contamination (are both papers from same source?), blank contamination (already mentioned), or press contamination (ie on the membrane).

I feel your frustration!

Hi,
check the nozzle once, i think this because of nozzle problem.

This seems to be a relatively common issue and I read somewhere, maybe on The T-Shirt Forum, that it's a printhead failing issue! Not sure I believe that but no one thus far has come up with a solution!

I have the same issue.
