These aren't on general sale yet so don't go rushing! We'll update the website over the next week or so with these being available. I'm looking at the iPhone holder as a separate item in the next 10 days - looks like the standard iPhone 4 holder but with a printable back side. More details when I've reviewed it. Also the iPad holder is being reviewed - printable section and it holds iPad in the same position as the original smart cover.

I think many iphone users would spend that sort of money if they could personalise the cover. I spent £30 a couple of weeks ago skinning my two kindles, I would have bought covers for my kindles.

"Printable backside"? Does that mean it's got 2 printable sides? Didn't get the "Smart cover" reference and iPad bit either. I 'm looking at starting pushing these types of lines now as they have gone well without trying so far.

Hi Andrew, I've not seen the iPad covers, but I believe the hard cases for the iPhones will have a printable insert that you can remove and press in your flatbed press. Once cooled you simply reinsert into the plastic shell. I'm sure Martin will put me right if that's erroneous, but it sounds pretty hassle free to me!

Until I see one, I'll reserve judgement on how hassle free or how easy they get put together! Sounds logical though, but as soon as we get one in our hand then we can update - should be next week...

Sounds interesting. I had been looking for a silicon phone skin myself that I could insert a printed metal backplate into but guess it would mean a new mould. When you have images and pricing it would be good to see what's on offer.

Samples have arrived. They are an iPhone 4 plastic case with a printable back side which is fixed after printing. We've uploaded details online (http://www.printerowners.co.uk/sublimat ... -cases.htm). The samples came in white, but black ones have been ordered.
