You will learn a lot from this forum. If you have colour problems with your printing, paul, pisquee and some others will always pop in with some advice. If one or two of them sound a little abrupt, it is probably because they are business people and don;t really have a lot of time to chat on forums. However, they are often the ones that have done it so long the hints and tips help a hell of a lot.

I got into sublimation accidentally. Over 40 years in the computer industry and when I finally got out I had computers and printers everywhere and nothing to do with them. I live in a tourist area, so I began doing A3 sized prints on canvas. They are popular here and cost about as much to make as a mug. And you only need a $200 printer. Then they got popular overseas. You can make them for $5 including hanging hardare, and sell them for $25.

Someone had an unused expensive mug press in a shed. I acquired it and a brand new unused flat bed press for a ridiculously low price. But the bloke told me all sorts of lies about the inks and printers needed. 'You can get the ink anywhere", You can use any Canon printer, you just need some special paper".

However it has been fun and it is an adventure.

There is a way to print neoprene stubby coolers in your mug press. Think about it a little, you'll realise what I mean. Makes it a lot faster than trying to press them flat, and Aus is a nation of can and stubby drinkers.

I can help sometimes with little tips like that to help you through the early stages. Along with suggestions like, download GIMP.
GIMP is a free program that does a lot of the things that PhotoShop does. It is not a replacement for PhotoShop, but there are a lot of things it can do quickly and easily. It is worth having. You can turn a photo from ok to WOW in a few clicks. This does not replace the ICC profiles yoou'll see people talking about. But it makes an amazing difference if you just need a bit more contrast, or nicer, richer colours or some brightness, but turning up brightness messes other stuff.

Ok, enough from me. Glad you are looking forward to a profitable fun business.
