If anyone is ever selling a Colormunki, bare me in mind! You've all got me wanting one now, but a bit pricey to get brand new at the moment!

Any recommendations then for a monitor and printer profiling gizmo? From the previous posts I'm assuming the Spyder Studio.

I use the colormunki photo. Does me just fine. Ideal for screens, cameras and printers.

Not sure of the pros and cons really between the monkey and spider, as we bought what we found to be the best deal used online at the time (a couple of years ago.)
What I do know...
Spyder have recently upgrade to version 4 (rather than the version 3 that we bought) this includes a much improved sensor for monitor calibration (I am not sure if the printer calibrator has been updated)
Spyder had a range of test swatch charts for printer calibation ranging from a small amount to around 1000 samples, you select the one you want to use and scan each swatch. Munki gives you an initial chart for scanning and then you can go back and do another chart to refine the initial readings.
Spyder has separate scanners for monitor and printer measurement, whereas Munki uses the same one for both.

I bought the munki because I was at a photography conference and they were offering it at a great price. When I asked them about sublimation the chap knew what I was talking about and talked me through it step by step.
I had been scratching my head wondering whether to buy the munki or spyder, and just happened they were there, price was good. Job done.
Not very scientific.....but have been happy with the results. I suspect the spyder or munki will do the job equally well.
