Dunno why youd want to pay for copy righting as its very easy if for example i was a song writer all i would need to do is write the song (obviously) the post a copy of that song to myself but on reciept of the song do not open the envelope hey presto you now have dated proof that you wrote that song before anyone else sorted

Paying for copyright is only one thing, as mentioned before, your main bills are going to be all the legal expenses for protecting your copyright in the future to prove someone has nicked your ideas.

the legal bills from past patent I had in the late 70's early 80's, made it impossible to challenge so every tom dick and harry went into production of it. In those days I thought I was covered but not for the litigations to stop others copying it, my lawyers said it would cost more than it was worth.
