What ink is used for the WOW paper guys?

The video (at Jimbo's link) had the print out already done?

This is not sublimation, the ORD paper is printed by laser printer. The paper must have some kind of heat activated adhesive so that it adheres to the glass/acrylic. I wouldn't consider the paper expensive when you cost up the alternative methods such as the subli coated acrylic or the cost of the print and the special clear adhesive film for the other method discussed on a recent thread.

doh! another method that requires a laser printer ................... my worktop already holds 4 printers (chromablast, sublimation, dye and pigment) .............. she can't take no more captain!

...it is if you dont have a laser printer, just an inkjet and subli printer......... so it looks like the best option for me is the print and press or adhesive film...

I know this thread is a bit old but I already make acrylics the cold laminating way, and it's not easy! Does anyone dye sub them on here and can you use normal acrylic? Does it need a coating on the acrylic for the ink to take?

Not tried them yet - but they need ot have a coating on them. IF they are like other sublimation prodsucts then it should be easier than the cold laminating.
