does this mean if a customer comes back withink the 12 months and the mug is faded it will be replaced?

If printed with genuine Sawgrass inks then yes. We have tests now conducted over several years of constant dishwashing with various dishwasher tablets, including the Finish PowerBall tablet which is one of the more agressive, and the images don't fade, which is why we now offer this added piece of mind.

I used to use Lovecut and Coralgraph for mugs as they are cheap as chips - I knew they didn't last in a dishwasher but when I sold these the customer knew what they were buying. I used to print a piece of paper and place it inside the mug saying "Handwash Only" along with a warning notice on the invoice and on my website.

One of the reasons why I stopped using these mugs was that I had to quote on a large order for a local semi pro football team, I didn't get the order as weeks earlier I'd printed a birthday mug for one of the directors and it had washed badly through a dishwasher. I asked to see the mug and it was unbelievable how bad it was - it was like the ink had run, been watered down, and smeared all around the image. Not good. I told the director that I could source better quality mugs but my service had already been tarnished and the order went elsewhere.

Due to this I've used BMS & Xpres mugs ever since. Xpres ones are straight sided and everyone a winner. BMS are the same but whiter - BMS B grade have pin holes and i'm not sure if its much of a saving as I've knackered a few due to time issues. Its as if you need to give it a little extra time than the Xpres mugs and this could be due to the whiteness of the mug.

As I said before - you get what you pay for and this is due to the coating. Buy cheap mugs and they'll not last - buy better quality and they'll last - your paying for the guaranteed coating.

i got some mugs from years and they hand wash only. they not even faded yet. and i use them on regular basis. All people must remember is hand wash only mean hand wash ONLY! I had qestions for 90 mugs for hotel. 4 in to each apartamen. also they said that they all got dishwasher so it need to be dishwasher save. with out risking ordered 11oz from bms. 2 exploded but at least i know now they still got this same, sharp logo on them as on first day they came out from mug press.

I had a BMS mug explode but I think it was my fault (1 out of 200 mugs isn't bad). When I put it in the press I was in a hurry and didn't have the handle quite central, it was touching the side of the press ( the part that the blanket attaches too). I think with heat it expanded and bang - the handle flew across the room - don't think the pressure helped either.

i think i'm now going to start using either xpress or BMS' s mugs in future as you say you get what you pay for
i still have a box of coral's and Henry has emailed and said they are safe, but i'm not keen on the feel as they do feel considerably bulkier than the 10oz i had from lovecut originally.

i much prefer the lighter ones and i think so do the customers as women tend to want a lighter mug the 11oz ones are more man orientated imo

I have to say the BMS mugs i have been using are spot on, and customers love them, they are much whiter and i think the printing is crisper than with the ones i was buying from magic touch.
