180-185 degrees for 50-70 seconds but as always you might have to play around those settings to get just what you like.

I think it could be your ink as accdave says.

well the T i made for my wife using it has been washed 4 or 5 times with no problems what so ever its still the same as when i 1st made it

That temp is way too low for sublimation ink. If your supplier is saying 150 degrees for sublimation ink then they don't know what they're talking about. You need 180 degrees minimum for t-shirts. You can go up to 200 degrees but I find the t-shirt can yellow (burn) at that temp. Press at 180 degrees for 60-70 seconds and you should have vibrant colourful results.

Those temp/ times sound more like ink transfers, not sublimation ink...

good stuff that cheap material off ebay init

done 1 at 180 for 60 secs turned out better but still not right
so i turned the press up to 190c for 60 secs and wow :O

it looks brill
so thats the colours sorted for now until i get some better ink lol

it is so handy havin this place for support

i just done a test print with that image on a waste mug and yes its come out grainy
all the colours look nice and the skin tones are right esp the lil babies etc

but all the colours are grainy
so i guess it really does look like i'm going to have to invest in some better ink

look out card your gonna get used again

What paper setting are you using in your printer driver? I find I get grainy images if the printer driver is set to print to "plain paper", but if I change it to "matte paper" then the quality is significantly better. It's slower to print, but the quality more than makes up for it.

If you're currently using "plain paper" setting, it may be worth trying the better quality paper settings.

If it's set to "plain paper", the printer thinks it can't lay down as much ink as it would on "matte" paper (because plain paper saturates too quickly). Transfer paper is coated on one side just like matte paper, so it can take more ink. I think you'll find an improvement.
