Hi Simon, Just to clarify a few points yes you are right it is a 1 step print process and either a 1 or 2 step press for instant curing a second press is needed however if it is just left it will cure without the need for the second press.

In a production environment with 1 operative we think 60+ t shirts an hour would be possible if there were 3 printers printing the film.

You may feel that is excessive and expensive but at £1,061.85 for the printer, ink and rip x 3 total £3,185.55 + vat i may be wrong and please correct me but is there anything else on the market at those prices even if you went with the 3 machines which would give you a constant flow of printed film.

Also don't forget it is a regular A3+ 6 ink sublimation printer so if its not printing reveal film just pop sublimation paper in and you can sublimate any blank on the market.

Regarding the video yes that was the idea to show the exact time nothing to hide no editing or messing about.

Also Adam has thought about filming a comparison video in the future with a split screen showing the printperfect system, DTG and Possibly laser say 20-30 minutes how many t shirts could be produced on each system in that time.

These days with sublimation and digital printing in general there isn't much left to come up with. White ink has always been one of the holy grail's. I have never been that much into garments as I never thought I could compete with other suppliers in my industry who own machines such as a Kornit (about 40 grand). But this system could potentially put me up against them.

One step printing process, a two step pressing process (press image, peel and then press again) means its very easy and very very quick. Unlike a DTG, you could potentially print 50 odd sheets while doing something else and then 50 garments in white will take you about an hour, possibly one hour and 10 minutes ish. A quick calculation in my head based on rough prices of both this system and the DTG system would suggest about the same unit cost. Materials on REVEAL are more expensive, but labour and speed are considerably quicker.

If anyone has a decent DTG and knows their material costs and times then post them here and we can do a better analysis.

Going to keep my eye on this one as it is a winner.

P.S. Steve, keep the video "RAW" like you have, it is good to see the press count down etc etc as it shows how easy the process is and not some marketing BS video that has been edited.

This is really good information and helps with deciding whether to go for it or not. Thanks DyeSubSupplies.

Not a problem, but better still come over and have a play with it. We have it set up in a demo room just outside Carlisle.

Pretty cheap then. I like the idea of three printers which does mean you potentially have back ups should the worse happen.

How does it handle gradients and what are the wash tests like? Are there any specific handling instructions?

Not sure a comparison video is any use (in my humble opinion) for example white on Black this system would probably be quicker. But then T.One using an OKI would blow it out the window in terms of speed and potentially cost.

Having said that it’s not always about cost, versatility of the machine is just as important.

If s definitely peaked my interest a lot :-) :-)

Yes I like the idea of everyone having printers as well
Re gradients I will upload some more photos tonight.
Washing instructions pretty similar to everything else 30 degrees, inside out, wash with a full load, don't tumble dry, wait 24hrs after printing before washing.
Comparison video noted.

Yes, this is what I'd like to see too. Especially how well fades to the cotton colour and gradients work out.

The only way transfer papers on dark/black cotton t-shirts will ever challenge DTG is the ability to print fades and gradients - DTG does this all day long with ease - if you have a good RIP :)

Thanks for that, sadly that isn't possible at the minute as the 3rd film isn't out yet which is Reveal -WC which lets you put colour on to black.

I will let you know as soon as it is released, approx 2-3 months.

Thanks for replying.

As I said previously, until transfer papers can produce this sort of artwork on black t-shirts as above, it will hold very little interest for me.

I can see a place for a complicated design - white on black that would otherwise be a nightmare to weed, but otherwise, I struggle to see the benefit.

Thanks
