We switched off on Saturday afternoon, and still getting messages.
Some going with 'we favourited your store to order our Christmas presents but it states you're now closed, what has gone on?'
Doh!

Looking at next years dates, will switch off Monday 18th or Tuesday 19th December to allow all the 'my parcel has not arrived' reprints over the few days before Christmas.
Can't believe planning and dreading next Christmas, already.

Me thinks you are quite right about your customer base shrinking, but I have felt like putting that as well, but hey ho, now't a queer as folks eh!
Just had another order in for a personalised mug, ho hum, might get it out today?

Perhaps write the "T" word that JMugs was on about earlier onto the mug instead!

Just finishing making some amendments to the listing, which includes switching of Collection at Argos. I have had enough with all the complaints of late delivery, ALL of them were sent via Argos!

This new year, we too are going to stop supporting Argos in-store collections because of the late delivery complaints. It's a terrible idea for ebay sellers, especially the smaller businesses and one-man-bands. By the time Argos receive the item(s) and update their systems and notify the buyer too much time has elapsed from the original delivery estimate. On top of that, you have all the clever dick's trying it on.

Ebay has totally unrealistic delivery dates, they know they are unrealistic but wont change them as they know it will mean some buyers wont buy if realistic delivery dates are given. My late delivery rate has gone from 2.1% to 7% in the course of a month.
We will see what happens next, I imagine I wont be alone at this time of year.
I have taken 30 odd listings to zero stock level until 25th December then I will restock. I still see sellers with live listings, I can only imagine what sort of aggravation they will get over the next few days.
