Could it be that the slate is a natural material and doesn't heat evenly. Have you got an infrared reader to check the slate.
Many thanks
Iain

Equipment used A4 Ricoh printer, HP3085 Heat Press Graphtec cutter, Jarin mug press, CJV 30-60 solvent printer and lots of help from DSF.

Thanks for all the input people.

Did you ever get the sponge sheet? Are you pre-heating both the slate and the sheet?

I pre-heat the slates at 195 degrees and press then for 9minutes using paper then a silicone sheet on top ,,,,, it may help to press 2 slates at a time to ensure a even pressure when pressing which works well for me...........

I've been getting quite good results with my slates lately, but I've come to the conclusion that 1 supplier has Grade A and another has Grade B. I buy from Grade B supplier because they have a size the Grade A supplier doesn't have. I will have to remove the size from my list of products. They are not as good, which is a great shame.

Why don't you see if the Grade A supplier can get you the size that the Grade B supplier has available. There may be a delay in stock arriving but it will save you withdrawing the product line from sale permanently.
