I also think that's a good price.. I don't go that low either to my wholesale customers.

I would love to go large format too.. but definitely don't have the space for that :/

Pisquee it was not aimed at you at all, just one of the factors a lot of people never cost in when its not their main income as it is with a lot of us on the forum, and indeed you mentioned another point that is often forgotten - wear and tear on equipment, heat element went on the cap press the other day - mutter mutter mumble mumble

Wow, that is low cost, lower than I would have imagined. Though I take your point that there are still all those other cost factors to put in. It does not put me off though. It just makes me think even harder about what I could imagine/design/produce. Like what can I to make the higher price I would have to charge still attractive to people. It's a challenge - I will have to see whether I can rise to it I will be ordering my heat press at the end of next week so will find out soon...

We have multiple mug presses, PressMech flat bed presses and wide format printers, so can keep going if one goes down, and not have to wait for me to fix or replace them. We only have one rotary press (!) but have two spare elements and one spare felt. We work from home (mainly due to keeping costs down but also helps in looking after the kids!) we do have to rent a 7 bedroom house (Victorian Terrace) to accommodate business and family, 4 bedrooms dedicated to business stuff, along with a few nooks and crannies, but can work out the proportions of rent that is for the business due to how the house is divided up.

yep, i have 3 heat presses, 1 very large, 1 large and one smaller, 3 mug presses, and only 1 cap press - so the law of sod strikes on the cap press its amazing how quickly your business takes over your house, we have a unit that mark runs a motorbike repair shop from, and it also contains my stock, then i seem to remember having a large 3 bed terraced house, with a very large room at the back, like a small barn that would come in helpful for something !!! i now have a 2 bed house, with a lounge, 2 bathrooms, and a kitchen we keep business free but the other rooms all have something in them yes i work out the proportions as well and cringe when the leccy bill comes through, but with a lot of expenses on the other business, there is not really another way of doing it at the moment, if they take away the 0 business rates, i cannot see how we would manage the unit
