Just stay away from the minefield - either pay an appropriate license fee to legitimately use someone else's work, or use your own creativity and come up with something yourself. Whatever the legailities, is there not something morally/ethically wrong with profiteering from someone else's work?

every tom dick and Harry are doing slogans, it must be very difficult to find a slogan that has never been used by someone in some shape to other.

Renniwano tag line says "Behind every great man.. is a surprised mother in law.." I could put this on a mug but could Renniwano say she owns those words in that order? Or is that saying from a film/book or even a greetings card which has copyright....
I never meant to start another discussion about this subject in this forum. I know there is a separate section which I have read through several times.

lmao.. I did actually technically alter another saying to come up with that one..

I saw a saying that said behind every great man.. is an even greater woman.. and when I told my mum that she said and a suprised mother in law..

Hence the saying.. but who knows how many other people have thought the same lol..

Then why follow the crowd? - be creative, do something different, and find your niche
