they are pretty much in same price anywhere you go. So idea is to do it in same place where you getting your blanks from so you don't pay twice for postage.

Paper arrived this morning (wow that was quick) I'll try it out before work if I can.

Your line problem is down to your printer, I had exactly the same problem. There is a plastic guide rail inside the printer which feeds the paper out of the printer. This guide rail has round metal discs with teeth kind of like a cog which are designed to gently grip paper. I solved this by opening the printer top, locating the white plastic guide rail and removing it by unscrewing the 2 or 3 screws. The rail holds these round discs in place with springs which are designed to move about so that they do not mark the paper (oops!). Simply remove all but the two outer edge springs and your proble will disappear. This problem drove me nuts initially, but I quickly figured out that this was the issue. The paper they supply with those packages are super crap too as others have mentioned, trupix are my choice paper too

I had issues a few weeks ago with lines in the print and assumed rollers in the printer were transferring ink along the design...I tried everything,to fix it...I even tried finding out if I could slow the printer down to let ink dry before rollers touched the ink.... After over a week of pulling my hair out I found a epoxy domed label stuck inside the printer. The label was from an order we had produced a few weeks previous, it must have dropped into the paper feed.
such a simple fix, after thinking I was going to have to replace my printer.

right then a little update...

Took printer apart... broke a flat flex cable attached to the scanner.. and then printer didn't work! - so are some careful soldering I fixed the cable and then removed the cogs... the plastic ones seemed to be the ones with some small amount of ink on them.

Put it all back together and tried my new paper and... all is good.. nice clean prints again!




A quick question.... what size document do you guys use as a template? I think mine are a little too big.

I use 190 x 85 as standard, but do offer a full top to bottom print if the customer requires and will go to 200 wide. But top to bottom and/or 200 wide means I can only get two on an A4 sheet so only do it if the customer asks.

so how many do you print per A4? - I need to make a PSD me thinks
