Hi,
- if they are now full, make sure they really click into place, not just go in,
DONE
- then let the printer re-set, if it says "ink not recognised" just click ok,
DONE
- then do a nozzle print out, you may find the warning you are reading, is that they are not recognised inks rather than they are not working, i cant remember the exact wording, but it can look confusing, as if its not accepting the carts, when it is, its just warning you that you are using non reg carts.
When I go through photoshop to print, I do the nozel checks from there. It won't let me do a nozel check because it says, "Nozel chaek cannot be completed." UIf I try print it tells me that "Ink cartridges cannot be recognised."
Other than doing everything I have already done, I am lost!

Well if none of the cartridges work then either you are not shorting them out long enough or they are all duff :frown:

I have tried combinations of 1 second and around 3 seconds. Do you think longer?

Well, I found this webpage that seems to think that if one cartridge fails to reset then the printer can mark all as failed.
I suggest you read through this page and either try the SSC utility or the 2 methods to get unrecognised cartridges to be recognised again

Hi,
I have read all through this and wasnt sure which of the software downloads was relevant for the sx235w xp-202 so did the,
SX410 & SX415 (TX410 & TX415) and R265 / R285 / R360 / RX560, to download
Then when I read on it just keeps talking about the ink pad. Which one do I use to do a FULL reset of the printer so I can start again?
Thanks
A

I think I now have figured it out. I bought the printer from argos (sx235w) but I have actually been given xp-202. I found here someone had this happen to them because the sx235w is discontinued...
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/sho ... st56996091
I ordered the cartridges the day before getting the printer and was not told when I went to argos that it wasn't the same and obviously never looked for model numbers (my fault but I assume if I buy one thing then it should be that product right?).
I have checked online and it says this printer takes T1816 NOT T1281 to 4.
I cannot believe this, Seriously? So I guess I now have to buy some new cartridges.
Thank you
everyone for their help but in the end it was down t o mine and Argos' stupidity.
Thanks
A

Hello,
Cartridges do not exist for this printer so will have to take it back! Can someone tell me, if I get a printer from ebay to fit the cartridges, I read somewhere that it has to not have been used for normal printing? The one I am looking at is refurbished, do you think that will be ok for sublimation?
Thank
A

If it is an epson printer then as long as you do not have blocked heads then the sublimation ink should work fine. Just give it a head clean or two after installing to get any residual ink out or use an 'ink flusher' solution.
