ICC Colour match profile is set up in powerdriver which is part of the Sawgrass Printer driver for The Ricoh , The ink is profiled and matched to the TRU PIX Paper.
So when your monitor is profiled what colour you see on screen is what you will print in sRGB Colour space, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SRGB

If you go with a diffrent printer, ink and paper configration you will have to get a profile, ie ICC profile to suit that combination, generaly your supplier will give you a profile , But it may be a general profile and not a custome profile which you may need to get to get a exact colour match from screen to printed substrate, as every batch may vary a little you have to tweek the colour to get the result that you want.

To profile you monitor you need a device like Colour Munkie Photo Cost circa €350+ vat

Never had a problem with my epson but I use refill carts not a bulk ink supply..

Refill cartridges for me to. Perhaps it's the bulk system that clogs.

Its not so much the clogging thats an issue with ciss its air leaks imo refillable carts are great because you dont have the weak links like you do with a ciss for me refillable carts are not much use as id spend most my time refilling them they are great if you dont use that often but my poor old printer runs all day every day and while im on a whinge and this is a retorical question but why is it if any colour thats gonna go wrong its going to be the CYAN every bloody time i even asked sawgrass this and their excellent support staff agreed with me that cyan does seem to be the cause of most peoples problems though they dont know why i now have gone over to the dark side (ricoh) and must admit its a lot easier but i still prefer the epsons for quality.
