working perfectly now, maybe as paul says its happeneing at a time when the server is busy doing something in server land ??

I'll look at the auto backups, if there's any way folk could give me a time when they have the problem that would help immensely

Backup is set to run every 3 hours and will therefore run again at 3pm today, if you can take a look and see if anything happens around then that would be good. The backup is pretty quick though so I wouldn't expect any issues.
