Do you know if they're testing the A4 Workforce models? With the much larger ink cartridges, they would seem to be the ideal models for doing away with the CISS without having to go down the Ricoh path.

It may also be possible to look at the WP-M4015 DN as a dedicated mono printer. I'm in the process now of doing a large order that only requires black. The idea of a printer that takes a single 180ml black cartridge is appealing as a dedicated black-only printer. Less heads to block, less ink to waste on idle headcleans, just one colour, one giant cartridge, and let it run. If I did this order on a regular "supported" Epson with its thimble-sized cartridges, I'd be refilling them several times throughout the order. Not so with a printer that holds 180ml of black ink.

Sawgrass could sell refillable cartridges with bottles of ink instead of the "throw it away" cartridges of the Ricoh models. Oh, but that would be thinking of the customer first... what am I saying?

Yes one of the Epson A4 Workforce models is supported. And there have been refillable cartridges for 110ml and 220ml capacities cartridges on Epson 7600/ 9600 printers for years (even supported by Sawgrass!)

7600/9600 printers cost a whole lot more!

Which A4 Workforce models are supported? I can't find the printers on your website.

The 7600/9600 carts are compatible with the 4000 series too ... and 2nd hand the 4000/7600/9600 aren't actually that pricey, and certainly gets you a much better quality printer.

I didn't know that the old cartridges were compatible with the new Work Force printers.

Are the cartridges refillable?

It is the Epson WP-4015DN with SubliJet-IQ inks and PowerDriver supplied as standard.

They aren't and yes they are refillable but you either need auto resetting chips or a chip resetter.

To clarify - The Stylus Pro (wide format) 4000/7600/9600 use the same cartridges

So those aren't refillable, then?
