Do you know if they're testing the A4 Workforce models? With the much larger ink cartridges, they would seem to be the ideal models for doing away with the CISS without having to go down the Ricoh path.bms;54236 wrote:There isn't a supported model just yet, but the 1500 is being tested.
It may also be possible to look at the WP-M4015 DN as a dedicated mono printer. I'm in the process now of doing a large order that only requires black. The idea of a printer that takes a single 180ml black cartridge is appealing as a dedicated black-only printer. Less heads to block, less ink to waste on idle headcleans, just one colour, one giant cartridge, and let it run. If I did this order on a regular "supported" Epson with its thimble-sized cartridges, I'd be refilling them several times throughout the order. Not so with a printer that holds 180ml of black ink.
Sawgrass could sell refillable cartridges with bottles of ink instead of the "throw it away" cartridges of the Ricoh models. Oh, but that would be thinking of the customer first... what am I saying?
