I've cut to the print size also and tried this and the ink tends to shift a little when gassing. I also find that leaving a print abouut half an hour to make sure the ink dries gets a better transfer, and if you haven't got time leave it under the heat of the press (not clamped on it - just for the heat) and let it force dry for a couple of minutes - in my opinion, it does make a difference with a clean & crisp transfer.
