Some good advice here. The only thing I'd say is I've used Xpres paper since dinosaurs roamed the earth, never had a problem through any printer and I still choose it over the more expensive brands. It will always be the case of certain papers etc. suit certain set-ups but that's my 2p worth!
I started out with a £700 Jarin press many moons ago and had so much trouble I just got rid in the end. Moved onto Adkins machines and still use them to this day, superb kit but pricey. If I had the money I'd buy a Stahls Hotronix but no need for me right now. It's not easy starting out and finding a press might cost you £1k+. I imported a cheap Chinese press myself and it was perfectly ok but there's a risk there.
As previously mentioned, this forum is a treasure chest of information to help save you money when setting up, learning and progressing. Study it well and it will set you on your path to sublimation success!
