first is ment to be bright red...printed out bright red.....second ment to be very black...its more kinda washed out black.....and the third.....well, its ok i suppose

any ideas ?

some will say - profile but, the mugs come out really good and true to colour on screen ect

taking with 5mp camera phone with flash ON !
That sounds partly like a profile issue (certainly that lack of a red, and most likely that black because what's printed isn't even a neutral grey).

You will probably get less "washed-out" results by using a high-release paper such as TexPrint (if you don't have any, press for longer with your low-release paper). That won't solve the wrong colours, but it might transfer more of the ink to give you a better transfer.

When I first got my B40W (an Epson), the results using Artanium ink with the Sawgrass profile were horrific. Everything had a yellow cast and the whole print looked "flat" (not washed out but with a distinct lack of "pop"). As soon as I had a profile made, the colours became accurate and the colours popped vibrantly.

Using Tru-Pix paper for everything at the moment jonathan......
Might need to order some Tex-print tomorrow from martin, just to see if it makes any differance...
the mats were done @ 60sec @ 190c..and i noticed the edge of the black was slightly kinda lighter colour....dunno if that was burnt or not enough ink applyed

off to try some iphone cases  - see how they turn out !

I suppose it's possible to have ones that don't have polyester on them, but I don't know who might sell them. Where did you get yours from?

I tend to print my mousemats for at least twice as long as everyone else (but then I seem to have to press everything of mine longer than everyone else does, so don't take my advice for gospel!).

TruPix should provide decent results so don't go spending too hastily (although I'm sure some TexPrint will benefit you later on).

I normally use BMS ones. I did have a couple of samples from Coralgraph which printed up just fine (they were a little smaller than the BMS ones, but cheaper, although they were out of stock by the time I came to order so I went back to BMS).

Is it just me, or do mousemats generally look a little shoddy where they are cut from a larger sheet? Some don't have parallel edges, like they were cut on a Friday night after the pubs shut; while others have ragged edges as though someone's been hacking away with nail scissors. Maybe I'm just being picky.

Quite understand.

If it turns out there is something wrong with the Coralgraph mousemats, let them know ASAP. I'm sure they'll replace them for you.
