Re: It Just Gets Cheaper!
I'm with John G...we now live on a penny pinching planet which I can understand but customers are much more reluctant to pay the extra for quality. This seller on ebay is crucifying us. I'm now thinking it's not actually worth my time and money to get all the dye sub consumables and print myself. I may as well farm out to this chap and still make a few quid profit without the outlay!

Well said Lornem!Lornem;38442 wrote:I thought this was a dye sublimation forum, not one for character assassinations. He could be a nice bloke
Does anyone know what the quality of his prints are like?? I very much doubt anyone has bought one from in!
Yes they are stupidly cheap and i completely agree that he can't be making anything from them, but that IS HIS CHOICE!
Does anyone here vilifying this bloke let anybody else tell them how much they can charge...??
He may well be doing it to try and get his feedback levels up as he has just started trading on eBay, or even to try and earn an honest 10p (btw your sums are well out, I reckon he is making 50p-£1, depending on his postage method) to keep the wolf from the door.
I see from his feedback that his customers have been very happy with the product and his DSR's are better than some others on this forum that use eBay.
I am not bothered by this bloke as competition, he his selling them so cheap he is just going to be a busy fool and get fed up with making very little and jack it in before long anyway, but that is HIS decision.
I have posted things on here before and been very surprised by the level of rudeness i have received in replies by some of the higher 'contributors'....I just don't see why some people have the need to look down their noses at others who are trying to make a shilling or 2!
Rant over!

Re: It Just Gets Cheaper!
1) want to increase feedback level
2) want to learn sublimations (more orders, more real jobs, can pay products cost)
3) want to promote himself - marketing(get traffic, database of clients etc.)
4) want to just steal customers to anyone else
5) is really really stupid
They are probably more choices, nobody exept him now which one is right.

2nd class post by franking is £1.59 so theres 57p.
It's not so much the point tho' really John, if he wants to sell them for that (and the listing has ended btw, so he isn't selling any at the moment) then he can. If he does take over the mug printing world on eBay (which he won't) then fair play to him, he isn't single handedly killing business for all of us, he is competing in a very competitive marketplace and does not deserve to be ridiculed for his decisions.
Re: It Just Gets Cheaper!
30p was for paper, ink and tape - I thought that was cheap!30p for paper etc seems steep...
I didn't realise you could get franking for parcels but yes that would be a saving, but not 57p. There is a charge for the franking machine, maintenance and consumables and any inward carriage for the paper, mugs, boxes, ink hasn't been taken into consideration.2nd class post by franking is £1.59 so theres 57p.
Good point - that's fair enough.does not deserve to be ridiculed for his decisions
We all have different points of view - maybe I was wrong to bring this up on a public forum, if that's the case, MODS please feel free to lock it or delete.
Re: It Just Gets Cheaper!

Re: It Just Gets Cheaper!
You will find that everything that sells in volume on Ebay eventually becomes exploited! Sad but true!
There are far too many 'part-time' sellers who come home from their 9-5 job & 'knock-out' a bit of cheap gear wether it's to pay the gas bill or for the family's summer holiday!
Not only will the above undercut prices but they will also show no mercy in 'copying & pasting' your ideas (item images) also.
