Hi,

As a newcomer to sublimation and this forum, I have followed this thread with interest as printing military crests is what I want to do. I appreciate that this thread is well old but couldn't find the info elsewhere.

With reference to MOD licencing, if you obtain it do the MOD provide the images or do you still have to 'ferret them out'?

Thanks

The MOD will supply images.

Thanks JMugs,

Do you know if it is a difficult process to obtain a licence?

You need to contact the army as the primary source, then you will be asked to send samples of your work. The application goes to the Army, Navy and Airforce individually. If they all agree at the same time there is only one fee. In my case the army and airforce were on the ball, the navy dragged their feet. which meant I would have had 2 application fees (army/airforce and navy). You will need proof of insurance which indemnifies the MOD, I kid you not, but good insurances will have this built in. Your accounts have to be available for them to audit. There is a flat fee and then a commission on every item sold.

In the end I got so hacked off with the navy (which was the main one I wanted) I didn't bother.

Blimey!

I thought it might be a bit involved but methinks I might have to work up to that one.

Many thanks for the info. Appreciated.
