couldnt they be made of the neoprene material like the cheapo ones? .. that might be a cheap alternative right? ... lol
and i'm surpised that they arent available in the same material that teh xmas decorations come in... theyd make a great coaster :)

Yes they could be made with the neoprene material, but minimum quantities then go into the thousands to make it worthwhile as they are cut in China.
The FRP material (like Xmas decorations) are pretty much controlled by UniSub (in the US) and I don't remember the last time they responded to customer demand! The chinese keep on trying to create an FRP equivalent material but I've yet to see something that is of decent quality.

What would be cheaper to produce would be a piece of white metal in that shape - we can do that quite simply. A metal 'coaster' measuring 110mm x 95mm would be cheap(er) to supply.

What this space on this and also the rectangular wooden coaster. I might take a punt and get some in and see how they go...

My issue with metal coasters is that they're just too thin. If they were 3-4mms thick like the wooden ones, they'd stand more of a chance, but that's not going to happen.

The phone socks have proved popular, especially over Christmas. We should have these back again from mid April which seems ages away...
