I haven’t read the post as it seems you are getting more than enough advice, but two points...

When starting out it does take time and money to perfect the art

Secondly, always write the time and temp on the bae of the mug when you are testing, you can then refer to it later. If you use different print settings write those on there as well.

Good luck

Thank you :-) I have done a few testers tonight and wrote everything down as you suggested. I have a feeling it may be my actual mugs that are causing the issue. My pictures look fine but it's the black. It just just quite right. I'm off back upstairs soon to try some sample mugs I was sent today. Will see if that makes a difference. I've already dropped the temp down to 180 and tried 150 time and 140 time. Not much difference between the 2 the need to try 1 more reduced time before switching to a sample mug. Will post later if I get some joy lol x

[LEFT]OK Just a quick update for everyone. I think ive cracked it !! It was my mugs !!! Ive just tried 1 xp5013 at 180 degrees for 200 seconds and its perfect !! rich black, no smudges or fading. I cant believe it was that simple !!

Just goes to show what a difference a simple blank can make. Im gonne try the Listawood ones in a moment too but ive changed nothing other than increase the time thanks to the suggestion of StellaD. Im actually shocked but it makes sense now. Ive tried so many different times and settings with my current mugs and nothing seemed to work. First mug I printed using the XP5013 and its perfect !!
Will do another update soon if I find anything else out but I just want to say thank you so much to everyone that commented on this post.

Just one simple change has made the world of difference.
