I guess the problem is that there were a number of sub comments that addressed his post together with the other issues in the thread, so it becomes difficult to choose where to draw the line without breaking the thread. Would be better in my opinion to have edited his post redacting the dubious parts and leaving everything else, but I don't know what else there was on the thread that I may not have seen.
