I came across Pauls video via another thread elsewhete on DSF and (for the benefit of any one else who wants to know) that there can be a ghosting isue if the transfer overlaps the vinyl hence his method of printing the vinyl and then cutting out

thats right 
if your image is slightly bigger then glitter vinyl shape then it will transfer to cotton and it will look bad. hence why I print transfer before applying to the shirt.

You can also sublimate stahls glitterflake vinyl, available from target transfers.
