sounds like you have it all sussed out not sure if you know this but a little tip is to pre press your garment for 5 seconds to release the moisture then print once you remove your transfer I then press again for 5-10 seconds I always use a teflon sheet on everything even on vinyl. Find it good practice and a good habit to save forgetting and ending up with a sticky mess on the press.

Yes I always pre-press even the tester garments before printing, I use the teflon over it during pressing and give it another quick blat in the press, a bit wary of maybe ink pulling off the tee when i repress but I only do this for 5 seconds max.
On another note, new heat control unit arrived, seems to be working ok but takes an age to cool but hey ho at least it is not constantly heating up!
Ricoh will arrive on Monday yay!!

Well my mugs and new printer arrive tomorrow, looking to try out the mug press to see how it does, will start with a basic print but need some pointers as to temperature and the time needed to sublimate a mug, i'm not sure what the paper is as I will be receiving 100 sheets free, also have another 10 free sheets that I received with the press but I'm not aware of the make of paper but i'm sure it is quality stuff from Isub supplies.
Time and temperature settings would help here, has anybody else had experience with this paper and what are your recommendations for both time and temp to sub a mug?
thanks again!!

Yes, I have seen a few of his vids on yt, pretty good they are to with some great tips!!
I am also wondering, if you don't have a cutter (which I don't..yet) are there any other tips as to cutting with respect to jp opaque paper, especially with names etc, is there a better way to cut or trim this as I find names etc are a nightmare, I do need a cutter but can these do intricate work such as names is various fonts, even calligraphy?
Thanks again

I wouldnt advise using transfer paper for names, to much room for error its much easy to use a cutter you can get a good used craft robo or silhoutte cameo for around the £100 mark ebay or a chinese one from signzworld for £160. I have one of these and so far havnt had a problem with it.

looks a good buy if you can get a cutting mat for it aswell it will help in cutting out designs on transfer paper Im not 100% on this though somebody who has this machine or greenstik themselves could advise on this.

This is the machine before the Cameo cutter, I have inquired and it does the same as the cameo but the cameo cuts up to A3 but the portrait wont but I don't need it for A3, A4 so I think I will be going for it,
