If you want to print more than 1 mug at a time then you might be better off looking at the 3d machines because they will also give you the ability to make other things as well.

But I don't know much about them. Are they generally better than presses? What are some of the complications one can have with them?

That one in particular has a common problem of vacuum hoses splitting which you can fix yourself but for mugs you don't tend to use the vacuum unless your using moulds for the mugs. Most people use those green wraps seen in the picture and unlike your standard press where if you bought cheap you might have a problem with heat at the top or bottom of the mug, heating the whole of the mug shouldn't be a problem in a 3d machine. The only thing with those green wraps is that they are a set pressure so you can't increase the pressure to compensate for mugs that taper to much or aren't straight, this just means you will need good mugs from a good supplier.

I was planning on purchasing my mugs from coralgraph as they are the cheapest and were recommended to me. Is there an oven that doesn't have these issues? I like something that works nicely without a lot of upkeep. My time is worth more than my money these days...

I know The Transfer Press does oven systems if you want to look at those but I have not used a oven so wouldn't be able to comment on them I know there are a few people on here that use ovens.

Caoralgraph mugs are good for the money watch out for pinholes though and I have my doubts about their coating, I think RN is better but that being said their mugs are lovely and straight compared to others.
