Re: Adkins Studio Twin Mug Press - Set Up

Post by thecartoonman »

Just an update, I have settled on 180c for 175 seconds with light/medium pressure and the printing has been superb, we got there in the end, but it is worth remembering that the Adkins presses work differently to the BMS DF1.

We used this at an exhibition at the NEC, Birmingham and the Adkins Studio is much quicker to use than our previous Chinese mug presses, having got very frustrated trying to set it up it has proved to be an excellent machine, which having been a user of Adkins heat presses for 10+ years I should have known!

We don't have the dummy mug in place while it heats up, but when we have finished printing we do turn the machine off and then close the handle(s) with dummy mug(s) in place to cool down.
