Did CG sort the cart for you Paul? I think we need to look at this whole situation and I'll pen something to SG.

Sublijet is still Sawgrass Consumer, only the Sublim inks are from their Industrial Division

Re: Best before date on SubliJet-R
Know little about SubliM, options for my 7890 were E Pro or IQ Photo Pro but the latter really needs a rip.
^Paul, sorry, I thought you said inks from CG, my mistake

We have been raising this issue and Sawgrass have said in their email to dealers that "In 2015... [Sawgrass] will also address dealer concerns about use-by dates"pisquee;95504 wrote:Sawgrass would have to do something if enough people were complaining about it, or taking their business to other ink companies who can offer better shelf life.

I think i will have to confirm that with sawgrass as there was no note with REAL best before date. How would guaranty be honoured if my rico die with yellow out of date inside? I think I will keep this email...Hi Paul,
Thank you for your email.
I’m sorry to hear that you have received these inks without the accompanying paper explaining the reason behind this.
Our supplier who is a partner of Sawgrass (the manufacturer) has incorrectly labelled our inks showing them to have a significantly shorter shelf life than reality. Our warehouse staff are instructed to supply the inks sent out with a paper from our supplier explaining this error but this seems to have been missed out on this occasion. We are using the same inks from the same batch in our own workshop and have not had any issues so far.
I appreciate that you are wary of this but I can assure you that we would never sell items that we deemed to be substandard or that are liable to expire in such a short time.

Paul,
That does sound fishy, and I would be dubious if told that.

Re: Best before date on SubliJet-R
reply email;
Hi Paul,
Just called up our distributor and they have advised us the date is correct however the year should read 2016 not 2015 so you infact have over a year to use this ink. They have guaranteed us that it should be absolutely fine however, if you encounter any problems we will of course refund or exchange the item.
Apologies for any confusion around this issue.
Regards,

I would've thought that Sawgrass (or any other large company) could easily do a product recall if something like this happened, and relabel them.
