Prices - OUCH!
Competitive pricing is a subjective thing but for a very immature product its VERY expensive! There are quite a few competing products as mentioned earlier in this thread and this is neither significantly better, nor significantly cheaper so they are going to be fighting an uphill battle imho.
There seems to be no mention of the magento etc. modules - I presume these are included FOC and are not extra cost?

Also are these prices per site, per install (1 magento install can have multi-sites) or per company as we have 3+ sites that could use this tech but if its per site its gonna cost a lot!

Shame for us the pricing is not viable for a flash based product as this reduces our market share considerably. For 6 months we ran 2 programs one HTML and the other Flash and the conversion rate was awful for the flash based product.

User will have ability to save/order final images on all tiers. I think he thought this is available only in pro. The primary difference across the versions is number of products and design templates one can have.
Aha, you must be a mind reader Justin as that is exactly what I was thinking
So as a B2B supplier where customers normally submit their own artwork already designed the Basic at £49.99 (presumably plus VAT) I think would be sufficient. As this is a new piece of software, could I assume that they would consider adding another line in between Starter with 1 product and Basic with 20 products that gives you the option of either 1 + add ons or 10 products, or would they consider bespoke set ups? As you know, I generally only do mugs but have been asked for other items of late. Not only as this been a welcome change for me it has also made me rethink the business strategy. So if I wanted to say offer mugs and possibly 6 other items and give the user the ability to save the design could they do it or would it have to be the PRO subscription?
I do think it is a superb piece of software and I appreciate that it is better than Paul's but I could not see where the cost increase was justified against his. Obviously now that I understand that this has the ability to submit high res art, even on the starter package, does give it the edge.
@SMO, it would be nice if you could mention the other software out there so the technically challenged (me again) could compare. I don't think it crosses any boundaries of supplier issues unless Justin says so

May i ask how the art is saved once all design is finished? Is it possible to see sample of finished design?? I wonder about latte mugs.

I've also looked recently at designnbuy, Deconetwork and others along the way.
From page 8 of this thread

I've looked at about 2 douzen web2print setups too such as Zetaprints and ROI360 along the way, some of them do this kind of thin, but most only do 2D - the ones quoted above are direct competetors in the 3D design offerings.

As you've been looking at other products I'm surprised you find this expensive? I'm sure I'm yet to see them all but certainly the ones I have seen have been considerably more and offer far less in return. Some I've been trying to look at won't even let me see the demo without contacting them and even then say they are happy to "give me a quote". Personally I wouldn't be interested in a qoute, just simple, fixed prices
You presume correctly, both Opencart and Magento can be integrated at no extra cost.

Deconet - £89 or £129 per month and a percentage of online sales at 1.85%. Appears to be aimed at garments unless I'm mistaken?
Design N' Buy - Aimed at garments and phone covers? Won't give prices or demo unless I register so I can't comment on this.
Gateway3d - £99, £199, £299 per month.
This is why I'm getting everyone a comparison table to show what can and can't be done with both this software and others in the market.

I don't expect other tiers to be added, I've already had a couple of changes made here. You'd need to be looking at 20 products (although obviously you don't need to use them all) and then you could add on as and when required.

Once the user hits add to cart, the order information including the user generated art gets saved on the server as part of the order. The original uploaded images by a user for that particular design are also saved with the order.
