show not as big as last year.and very quiet indeed,i have never seen the NEC so quiet before,i think printwear was the only show on
but it did give you the chance to get round at leisure and talk to the exhibitors.did buy a new mug press though.
dont let me put you off go and enjoy

Intresting contrast of opinions here. I thought it was quite busy, unfortunatley mainly with families. So much so I might close the shop and go Monday next year. I realise there are some family businesses and not all parents can leave their children at home. BUT, there was one family of 6, all children were teens and everytime they you saw them they were crowded round the stands where you got free t-shirts. Not content with taking a sample or 2 for business reasons they all had to have more than 1 each :mad:Makes me sound like a real grumpy old git but for heavens sake it's a trade show for businesses not some family holiday resort.

I was impressed with the Permaboss machine, but at 45K I didn't have enough money on me

Seemed to be more clothes stands than usual, slightly dissapointing as most of the brands are the same on them.

The NEC itself was quiter because the Motorhome & Boat show thing was cancelled.

Lol, I did stop going on Sundays as it appeared to be family day! I remember talking to exhibitors and they were telling me all their freebies/samples had gone on the Sunday, they had learnt to ration across the three days now!

I don't recall it being as bad the last couple of years, maybe this family just happened to cross my path too many times and I noticed it more

If you look in the first bag you are given after you go through the check in there is a map of the stall in there. ( I found mine after we got home).

We found it quite a good day on Sunday not jam packed but enough to keep the supplies busy, I did mention the forum to several suppliers and pointed out that we have a suppliers section so they can show off their latest additions to their and advise member on how to get the best from their products, a few of them seemed very interested.
I also got a couple of good ideas from there so all in all it was a very worthwhile visit, even though we did bump into any other forum members (and I was wearing a DSF badge). I visited the Listawood stand but Becki was buy with another couple so I ended up speaking to a very helpful young lady. Vinyl samples are in the post so I should soon be working out which ones I prefer.

It certainly was, and she certainly was.
I was a bit miffed that I didn't get to meet any other members of the forum, but there is always next year.
