The whole front of the plate will be coated for sublimation - it's just there were no means of printing the lip at the time. Should be fine in the vacuum machines.galerion;92058 wrote:I maybe wrong but I would thought they would coat the whole side of the plate and not just the middle and the 4" printable area is because they expect people to be using a plate press, best to ask them before ordering.

No problem splitting them. Next shipment due to leave end of Sept (last one left yesterday) arrive UK around 5 weeks later. We ask for a deposit to confirm special order. I'll get prices over next couple of days.galerion;92061 wrote:If Martin willing to split them and theres some 11oz mugs in stock i'd be willing to go halves with you.
Re: looking for Plates for Full Image Printing
A bit off topic but does that mean you'll have 11oz mugs in stock in 5 weeks or are there some already on the way ahead of that shipment?bms;92063 wrote:(last one left yesterday).
Re: looking for Plates for Full Image Printing
Our RN coated stocks come from a different supplier. That shipment is already on the water and I think it is due end of this month. It's a busy time of the year for us as we have huge stocks arriving or on the water as we gear up for the winter season.galerion;92065 wrote:A bit off topic but does that mean you'll have 11oz mugs in stock in 5 weeks or are there some already on the way ahead of that shipment?

Our suppliers advise not to print the 7.5" versions in a 3D press due to the lip between the edge and base of the plate. There is an 8" version with more of a curved inner base which allows 3D printing better.
