Old machines perhaps, but the newer machines are as happy as Larry to do nothing. I often think they are like the youth of today, take all your money but will happily sit around and not get off its backside and look for jobs :-)[/QUOTE]

Lol, quote of the day !!!

Just another wee question, would the quantities I mentioned (50-100) per job work within the price to sell at about £5 with a solvent printer or would it need to be bigger runs to get to that kind of price.

We could do the prints using sublimation to polyester fabric, especially if you're happy to do the sewing side! (as we don't have spare staff to do the sewing at the moment)
Drop me a PM with the amount of designs you have, the quantities of each, and the size, and I'll get you a price.

Hi Chunk

Not sure on that as I do not print that sort of material.

However Metamark's full price list is as follows:

90 GSM FLAG MATERIAL
15 METERS @ 760mm width £81.10
15 METERS @ 1370mm width £146.20
15 METERS @ 1520mm width £162.20

Hope that helps

S

add to that 15m of sublimation paper time and ink and then sewing and the price goes WAY up.

Whilst I can't comment on all brands what I can say is my Roland versacamm is quite happy sitting doing nothing while I scoot off for a couple or three weeks holidays. Just press the off button, leave the power connected and it looks after itself.........simples

Nope :-)

I am referring to the textile material that Roland's (and others) print directly onto.

I think in the numbers that Chunk is talking about then Dye Sub would be the cheapest method and I know that Pisquee is the man to talk to about that. I do not think Rolands are suited to the sort of numbers he is talking about.

I had a look, but for the OP to retail each flag for £5, the margins are too tight for us.

I was thinking the proposed price was somewhat low........with prices like that 'retail' one would need to mass produce (probably outsource to China).

I had a look round the web and the cheapest I found for a 6x3 was £40.00 so not sure where the £5-6 ones are.

I admit I did not look that closely, but it does seem very very cheap for such a large personalised flag.

Perhaps Chunk will enlighten us.
