I'm actually kicking myself a little as it went for below what I was prepared to pay for it but the distance from myself was a little far and that was the overriding factor for me. Just got to keep my eyes peeled for another one to come up for sale. Unfortunately budget is not enough for a new one yet..

it was not that far from St Albans, i went all the way to Cumbria for my big press from Northampton - which was 4 and a bit hours, would only have been a couple of hours for you Tl, and you could have called in and seen some suppliers on the way

Some sellers will strap things to pallets for courier collection too ... which is what we did with one of the pressmechs we bought that was way down on the south coast.

I have one of these and they are an absolutely fantastic bit of kit. Dick was round here the other day with a couple of platens that I have ordered. He is very knowledgable, helpful and a generally nice chap. They are a great company to do business with. Highly recommended.

There was a couple of standard PressMechs on Ebay last time I looked - one auction with bidding beginning at £500,and the other a buy now/best offer at £500 ... and there's a double platen for around £1200 buy it now IIRC

They are good prices and well worth it. I am very dubious of buying preowned machinery. Only because my experience is there is always some sort of problem, but that's just me. You will be pleased with the bag press, it is awesome.

We've bought 4 used PressMechs in total (and still have all 4 of them) only 1 of them had problems, and we knew that when we bought it (for only £50) The others have served us very well (their prices ranging from £20 to £250!)
