thanks, I see now how to add an outline in coreldraw but it goes on the inside so the bigger you go the less of the letters you see, rather than it being on the outside and making the letters bigger, just found this though that explains how to add an outline to the outside http://a-e-mag.com/tips/outlining-font-in-coreldraw so will try this, thanks

It's easier than that.
Select "outline pen tool icon" from the vertical tool bar, then "outline pen", click outline "behind fill".

This puts the fill in front of the outline rather than behind it.

Hi Skye, thanks yes that is alot easier, was getting in a pickle with contours and choosing different colours for each letter and getting the middles of the letters to be white!

sorry to bring up an old thread but I'm stuck again. I want to add a white outline to some text with a further black outline around that and then choose a different colour for each letter so like what I linked to in my first post above. I've managed to do this with contours as the outline pen only seems to do one outline colour but when trying to choose a different colour for each letter it doesn't work right. The a and m and probably other letters too have a flick which overlaps onto the next letter but when I change the individual letter colours, the flicks are the colour of the next letter so you can't see them anymore? Any ideas? I'm using Lobster font again.
