A bit of light reading for you. These are from a known manufacturer as well.

There are a few suppliers who would deal with the first one. I believe a lot of the Orca items come from the same place.
I had a fiddle with this type of thing years ago and got a fairly decent ( not perfect ) result without a wrap. Just printed the cutout handle shape on paper and taped as tight as possible. This was also done in a household oven before we had the commercial types and it was better than I had anticipated. Not much pressure is need from a wrap if you have a very good mug. Having said that, the results in the first photo are very good and you can hardly tell where the seam of the wrap would have been.
I reckon it could be done with a standard wrap and then 2 additional bits of thin rubber. 1 cut to go over the handle with just the holes cutout and split down the middle under the handle then another the same but split top and bottom of the handle. Stagger the lengths so gradient the seam and then the rubber wrap should grip onto that rubber when pulled into place and tighten it against the mug.
Might have a go soon as a bit for a change quiet right now.

I have been thinking about methods for printing around a whole mug and came to pretty much what Andrew is talking about, just been waiting for someone to sell off some wraps and a halogen oven cheap.
Anyone got a couple of wraps to spare?
Arthur

And last up is my new 20 week old dog de bordeaux puppy. Eats, farts and sleeps so just like his owner really....
How is your old dog reacting to having a new kid on the block?
