Justin, you have the same press as me so by heating the bottom of the mug first will increase your mug count by one.. Am I being silly by trying to ensure my mug counter is accurate ?

I realise the counter can be reset but I was hoping to see how many mugs I could make before the blanket started to degrade..

going by your method I could just half the number displayed to get the figure of completed mugs.

I would be wondering what I was talking about if I were still using a Chinese press so I will explain: the Adkins mug presses (and probably others) have a counter which increments each time the press is closed.

In theory yes Nik, it will increase...unless you don't pull the handle far enough to start the timer :-) Sometimes that works, other times you could pop something in-between to stop the handle from coming up but keep the blanket on the mug (alu water bottles work well) but to be honest I don't really worry about the count at all (didn't know it could be reset)

when i get a chance I'll look to see if there's a better fix to help this....although that's more your territory so put your thinking cap on! lol.
