I can't see how the ink would have changed since the profile was made?
We're using CS6 no problems (on XP)
You'd need to go back to who made the profile for tweaking.

No the ink wouldn't have changed.

For my own reference..
Updated Epson driver
Updated Windows 8,
Assigned sublimation profile for printer in Control Panel/ Colour Management.
Set Epson to default printer.

Printer Manages Colour and Photoshop Manages Colour both gives magenta cast on grey test chart.

I've purchased a new black refill cart in case the chip is faulty. Coincidently, during the tests I was completely out of black ink, how come the Epson driver didn't alert me before it was close?..That's a world's first.

Adjustments/ Colour Balance: Cyan-35...Magenta +10 correction to print file gives accurate printing results.

I think you may be double compensating by having the ICC profile in the control panel - it shouldn't be there, or at least doesn't need to be there - you should reset that back to whatever its default was.
Photoshop manages colours is all you need.
(I have seen too much magenta being a sign of double profiling before)

The chips going faulty on the carts would have no effect on colour - the printer writes values to them to record how much ink from them has been used, as well as to tell the printer how big they are and who's cart they are.

If using refill carts, I would keep an eye on them, and not trust the computer/printer to know how much ink is actually in them.

I only added that tonight thinking that perhaps another profile was overruling my sublimation ICC, but the problem existed before this. I'll make sure that none of the ICCs are in Control Panel. I might ditch CS6 and install a different version...I was trying to avoid that scenario.

Used a different version of Photoshop and tested 32 bit and 64 bit versions to rule out PS bugs, no change.

Tried new black cartridge in case not enough black ink was reaching the print head, no change.

Not sure if I fancy stripping the printer as Jmugs suggested to check for blockages, but I'm getting a clear test print chart.

It will be a while before I can replace the inks, so that is still a possibility.

That leaves me with the profile which has been tweaked and re-tweaked?

I'll have to manually make adjustments in PS.
