yeah i did that. ive got it set at 260secs @ 180c. it just seems like its in there for a long time.

You shouldn't need a whole extra minute in the press. Are your mugs coming out blurred?

My mugs are cold, and 180 for 180 works just fine.

I went through this same thing yesterday - I even got the manual out..
THIS is the press I have and its new, only done a few mugs in it and for that reason I have not settled on a routine.
There is no pre-heating like my Chinese One had - you cannot allow it to heat to temp with a Mug in place to protect the wrap (as is often advised) because the timer will start as soon as the handle is pulled !
So, as I am using Ricoh ink I am putting a 'Room Temp' mug in for 180 secs at 170 c and things are good - I am dunking (with the paper still on) to retain a sharp image.
I just need to settle on a routine !!!

cheers for all your help guys. i got it setup at 180c & 180secs. They are coming out spot on
