I have a whole bunch of them on my SD card. For the most part, the card stays in the slot in the side of my netbook but if my computer ever broke or played up, I could just take out the SD card and put it in another computer and carry on regardless. All of my files and most of my apps are present and correct and wouldn't need installing, so I could carry on with almost zero downtime.

For me, this is the way of the future - not being tied to a single computer.

Paul, do you print sublimation using Gimp? If so, is the colour managment easy to configure?

Running apps from an SD card sounds like a very neat idea. Not being tied to one PC would certainly be a benefit.

I tend to print from Qimage (it's not portable ;) and it's not free but there are three differently-priced versions, there is a trial version, and if you buy then all future updates are free). It's designed to be a layout/print app rather than a graphics app (although you can tweak images before printing without harming the original files).
