No, the self weeding is laser only.

CMYK Printer through SA is £149+vat. I'm assuming this is the same just given a different model name maybe.

It might be the 501 which is a slight better printer and works with target transfers (the 301 does not). But at Fespa they were 301 printer models.

Justin,
might I suggest that you get yourself a couple of inkjet tranfere T-shirts to wear your self?
- even just in A4 .....
(surely the suppliers of the inkjet transfere media would be proud to supply .....)

please take and post photos of you wearing the T's new, - and maybe after 3 or 4 washes ?

Love to know if what you buy in inkjet ..... ?

Finally heard back from SA after two weeks! I'm not happy to proceed with ordering myself at this stage. I'd be very interested to hear from anyone who has purchased the system and worked switch it for all but it won't be me testing this one just yet :-)

I might buy one printer and some paper for a play with later on but personally I'm not proceeding just yet.

They contacted me today to offer to come round with samples. I suspect their release date two weeks back was too early and they only just got there act together.
I look forward to seeing some feedback before I commit.

I also want to get to the bottom of this which is better laser or inkjet for heat transfers, it used to be said that inkjet was better as laser washed out. Now I'm reading laser is better cos inkjet washes out. Hopefully the truth will out :-)

Inkjet pigment inks seem to be far better than dye based inks for washability but I think you have to watch what inkjet printer you use and even then it needs regular work.

neither laser or inkjet is as good as sub on white poly.
imho laser is more consistant, faster, and has a broader range of product options, cheaper too per unit, but printer more expensive ?
I use magic touch laser
