Have you any oem carts to try in the Brother?

you dont want to do that
brothers has tubes. Similar to ricoh. So is not as quic check as with epsons. All uou need to do is stick cleaning soolution before you instal subli inks. This will show you when sub ink is coming oit. In your case i belive sub ink didnt get to heads just yet
