They do look like good mugs and guaranteed dishwasher safe too. Quite a bit more expensive, but if they work fine and look better, then it's worth it. I am trying to keep my prices uber low, so price is an issue, but I think I will have to try. What does everyone else use?

Just cooking one now, when clamping the mug from a warmed up press, the temperature drops when I clamp the mug then climbs up to the working temperature, but it takes over a minute to do that, then starts counting down from my set time of 140, so could it be that extra time climbing to working temperature could make the overall time too long?

if you've also got the monster doodles mug press, here's what i do with mugs from BMS anyways.
I have my press at 356 F (180 degrees celsius), and time set to 180. I put in a blank mug while the press is heating, and as it gets near the target temp i'll remove this mug and get ready to put in the mug for printing. i usually leave it until its only 4 or 5 degrees away from the target temp to stop the temp dropping down before the timer starts. worst case scenario if the timer starts before i've got the mug clamped in, i'll give it a few extra seconds at the end. Don't know about the Monster Doodle mugs, but can definitely say this works for me with their press and BMS mugs.

My press isn't the monster doodle one, but they all seem pretty similar, so I guess it applies to most. The time to warm up must be getting on for a minute and a half (I haven't actually timed it). Monster Doodles sent me an email which is below:
Please use an idle temperature of 356°F and a pressing temperature of 365°F. The pressing time should be 120 seconds. If this isn't successful, then please use a pressing time of 60 seconds. Please note that you need to use high pressure. I hope this is of help to you. "
I tried it at 120 seconds, then again at 60 seconds which seems very short time.
I like the idea of using another mug to get it up to temperature, I'll try that.
I think I'll order some BMS mugs this weekend, I'm beginning to think it probably is the mugs, as the image on the paper is sharp.
Really appreciate all your help guys, thankyou, hopefully I'll get to the bottom of it, and it will be on here in cyberspace for anyone else who ever has the same problem. I reckon with small text or photos it would be OK, but with the large text I'm using at the moment, it sticks out like a sore thumb.

Do you take the paper of the mug straight away?

Yes I do. I actually did one this afternoon after watching a youtube video where they suggested that you dip it in cold water afterwards to stop the sublimation process and avoid blurs. Ahhhh I thought, did that and the poxy mug cracked!!

I think I prefer to just let it cool on its own in future. I have tried the various suggestions made on here, and nothing seems to have made much of a difference. Another try tomorrow, but I'm definitely going to try some different mugs. I'm wasting ink, paper and mugs here!!!

I have yes, with time, temperature, light and high pressure, there are just so many combinations. That's the reason I think that it's probably the mugs (apart from the good advice I've received on here), because it doesn't seem to make much difference what I do.
