I bought it to convert 15 cam videos from my mums ancient camera and did the job very well. If you want it you can have it. I have no need for it. PM me if you are interested.... and NO... I dont want any money for it, I have had my use from it. The software that comes with this card is amazing too. Loads of options etc and great results. (Must have a PCI slot... NOT a PCI2 or PCIe... the latter are newer slots.) If you dont want it... if anyone else does.... just PM me. :) The model is Pinnacle MovieBoard HD v.14 http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/u ... ard+HD.htm
That's a very kind offer :-) Could prove to be very useful for this and more importantly other import work I need to do. Never seem to get this done for myself, always for other folk, would love to be able to sit and edit my own videos! lol. I'll drop you a PM :-)

if you just want to cut them into smaller clips and pop back onto a disc you can also use dvd shrink..its a free download if u search it it also rips original dvds to your hdrive..its not a great editor but if u just want small clips and stuff its easy to use once you get used to it

Never thought of using dvd shrink. How can this be used to edit? In most cases I just want to remove the first few seconds of a home movie.

when u open up dvd shrink use the reauthor tool.. it will read it and show all movies down right hand side..drag one over to the left and you can cut it down etc.. its quite easy once you master the first one.but you have to keep dragging over the movie each time you cut it down.hard to explain but easy to do

Virualdub is a great software Paul.... it takes a bit of getting used to though. :frown: Another one I use is ConvertXtoDVD5. Really easy and fast programme.
