Re: What am I doing wrong?
Win 7 is Win 7 32 bit
You need to download and install the RPCS raster driver for the operating system you are using from this site: LINK and install using instructions from this: LINK
then you need the Powerdriver from here: LINK and then install that.
If this procedure fails then make sure you disable Anti-virus software incase that is stopping the download.

Re: What am I doing wrong?
Almost there but not quite.
First thank you for the help.
My main problem for the benefit of others was that when i downloaded the drivers to the desktop they didnt work?
I dont know why. I just know they didnt?
I tried the drivers from the temp folder in c where they download by default and the gelsprinter loaded straight away.
I have the printer installed.
I re registered the printer with sawgrass and got my code and power driver is installed.
Only one problem left.
It doesnt seem to recognise publisher where I do most of my work on?
I make my design and all my printers, including the gelsprinter recognise it, but when i ask power driver to print it so i can press it. I just get a message as attached?
It doesnt seem to want to work with publisher? Any ideas?
I am almost there.
Thanks
Tony

Re: What am I doing wrong?
Maybe you can export the publisher file as a pdf and print from different software if this is the only issue you have?
Re: What am I doing wrong?
Hi sorry to drag this back up but I wanted to thank people for their help.
I have just read a message from Mrs Maggot offering help. I suspect it is regarding the disc?
I have only just replied due to being a bit busy and re installing things.
I have everything working well now and have made my back up as a complete image on an external hard drive.
Please people do it sooner than later as if like me you wait and do it tomorrow it will bite you in the arse.
In the hope that it will help others, here are a couple of things that I just could not fathom whilst installing the drivers for the Ricoh and the power driver that now seem like bloody silly mistakes. I hope it benefits someone .
When I downloaded the drivers for the Gelsprinter they just would not work from the desktop. I have no idea why. I just know that is so.
when i ran the drivers from my download folder where it downloads as default, they DID work?
Perhaps my Comp had some wierd setting on it. But if you have the same problem I suggest running the drivers from the default folder. It seemed to work for me.
I wasted many hours on this. Re installing over and over from the desktop and no joy.
I printed a test page and joy of joys it printed out. I had the Gel printer installed.
Next was to install power driver.
I downloaded the file from the Ricoh website as provided and most appreciated by worthdoinright (great links) just need to add some common sense which I was lacking.
I ran the file from the default folder (I wasnt falling for that again) and had to register as i was re-installing.
I did this and recieved a mail with my code.
I couldnt for the life of me see where this code was meant to go?
I actually had power driver showing on my printers and devices tab so i thought well maybe that is it?
I printed a test page and it worked.
Oh joy of joys methinks I am up and running.
No!
Wouldnt recognise programmes I use and my designs were not recognised?
Cant have installed correctly I thought. I KNOW the printer is OK it is just the Power driver part.
Basically I had everything installed and could print test pages (even mirrored in the power driver) But it wasnt right as It never worked with my programmes even my saved templates that I had used loads of time before.
Ok, Now here is the really stupid thing. I admit to this in the hope it helps and people can see how easy it is cock up and make mistakes.
After deleting power driver over and over many times and re registering counless times and it still not working fully for me I was ready to kick my screen in.
I even re formatted at one time and restarted everything again, just in case I had a virus or I had files missing from my windows installation.
still the same.
I had countless e-mails giving me my registration code but nowhere to add the bloody thing.
Ok here goes. (blush)
My Son comes to visit and asks "whats up dad?"
I told him how I had been struggling and all of the above.
He takes one look and says "that isnt the full page there you know?"
I am fat, 52, diabetic and blind as a bat due to looking at computer screens for too long. Mostly cos I dont know what I am doing.
So I have the text size at 150% so i can see a little better.
I reduced the text size to the default 100% and what did I find?
Yup.
A poxy little box that had been out of view all week that requested, REGISTRATION CODE
So there you have it.
I added the code from one of the 31 e mails I had with it on and it has worked great since.
I hope my stupidity helps someone else somewhere along the line.
Many thanks to all who tried to help and merry Christmas

Re: What am I doing wrong?
That made me laugh, glad you have set it up now
Its my first day setting up as well, took me 6 hours and a few phone calls but got there in the end.
Did a mug which i was pretty impressed with for 1st attemp.
Then i got a little smug and pressed a compact mirror insert, got it out the press, burning my fingers in the process, took the tape of and had a faded image on the insert :frown:
BUT i had a lovely clear image on the bit of plastic clear protective covering on the aluminium circle that id forgot to take off !!!! that was now stuck well and truly to the sub paper.
