The Ricoh printer's for sublimation doesnt support Coral Paint Shop Pro.

We use a mix of both Photo shop and Coral Paint Shop pro as long as the selected printer is Power Driver R SG 3110DN and not Ricoh Alficio you should get stunning results from most software as power driver should take over and work it's magic. We we first upgraded from epson our biggest problem (apart from jiggling a few temp & press times) was lines down the images due to the fact that the printer we selected in the list was Ricoh and not power driver. Worth just double checking.

I thought you could use any software with Powerdriver ?

Well this is a very good question. You can definitely print to Powerdriver from any windows based graphics software. However I think that the issues arise from the colourspace used by the software packages themselves - I know that to use Coreldraw with Powerdriver you have to modify the document properties to suit Powerdriver and hence for optimal results you probably are limited to which programmes you can use. But then with my luck in answering questions this could just be the totally wrong answer lol

If in doubt don't answer!!!

It's my understanding that all colour settings can be switched off when using Powerdriver and this takes care of colour matching etc. This is why you can use the likes of Inkscape/Gimp and so on....but let's leave this to someone with more knowledge than us to answer correctly.

The top line was supposed to be a quote form justforyougifts earlier post, (missed clicked the wrap quote icon) it was the fact that you should be able to use powerdriver in any software I was trying to get across. After finally upgrading and ironing out the teething issues I only wish we invested the extra and gone Ricoh from the start.

I would definitely download the latest drivers from the web and not use those supplied on the installation disk.

I have checked, we have the lastest drivers installed. Version 1.1.3 for the Ricoh 3110DN and RPCS raster driver version 1.5.0.0
I have reinstalled to check any problems fixed but no joy

Yeah I know Sawgrass dont support it, but as we have experince of Paint Shop Pro we dont want to change it.

We defo select the PowerDriver.

There is a setup for some colour settings in the supported tools, but Paint Shop Pro isnt supported so thay dont have instruction what to amend in our tool.

There is setup instructions for some colour settings in the supported tools, but Paint Shop Pro isnt supported so thay dont have instruction what to amend in our tool. Colour prints looked fine so I just left the issue originally. Then the black & white problem ocurred

We have been using Paint Shop Pro for other colour images which look fine, its black and white that isnt prining correct.

Sawgrass looked into it a bit yesturday. They printed our image using the supported software and it was fine.

I printed the black and white image using the Ricoh driver and not the PowerDriver and that 'looked' ok

Going to press this this morning so hopefully it will be fine for now.
